About HandS-SDSU
Humanitarians and Sustainability (HandS), a non-profit SDSU Student Organization, takes a holistic approach to aiding impoverished communities, focusing on the sharing of knowledge worldwide and raising social and environmental awareness domestically.
Mission:
HandS is committed to improving quality of life in developing and newly industrialized nations by evaluating, designing, and implementing sustainable, community tailored solutions. Our projects are inter-disciplinary and focus on integrating engineering, public health and education into appropriate urban planning for developing communities. We are working together with local organizations in the US and target communities, SDSU students and faculty, and administrative/non-profit organizations.
